My name is Caleb B and I am a freshman in the class of 2014 here at my high school. A little bit about me, I am the really mellow guy that loves the beach, more than anything. for real. I would love to live at the beach or in the ocean. I don’t know but I think I might be half fish? or like shark? A couple of simple goals for me this year are to make new friends and get good grades.I survived middle school and am ready to conquer my first year in high school! I’m going to tell you a little about my goals for high school and beyond.
I have various Academic goals for my freshman year here in high school and beyond, some of which I will list here. In my Education in a Digital Age class, one of my goals is to learn how to type, another for this class is to learn about all the different computer programs I should use and how they work. In my Biology and Geography classes I would like to be able to get more into it and understand it better while keeping my grades up. A main goal for English is to learn how to become a better writer and reader. In Geometry, being one of my stronger subjects, I would simply like to keep my grades up and do the best I can. A huge goal for me in high school is to turn in all work in time and maintain at least a 3.5 g.p.a. and try to get straight A’s. Also to try and get along with all my different teachers and not be afraid to talk to them about all the different assignments. My last very important goal for these next 4 years is to be able to get into a great University!
Next, I am going to talk about my Family and goals I have. I have two parents and 3 siblings. My first and probably most important goal is to
get along with my 12 year-old sister Kiana and 7 year-old brother Nathan. This is going to be pretty hard to achieve, knowing how annoying my brother is and my sister…… but I’ll be able to do it, hopefully. Another goal would be to keep up on chores around the house becausethat is something I struggle with. Another one would be to just get along as a family. A last goal for me, could be to help my mom with homeschooling my brothers and sisters because I know she needs a lot of help, going to school herself. Hopefully if all these go well this freshmen year I can look forward to a long vacation in Maui.
Now, I’m going to talk about goals I have for friends this year. Simply, I would just like to stay in touch with all my friends that are going to different high schools, which I know will be difficult. And more importantly make many new friends. It would be cool to make a few in every class.
Finally, I am going to talk about my health and physical goals. I am taking P.E. this year for 6th period with Mrs. Stevens at the YMCA and am actually pretty excited to be able to go a couple times a week without having to drag my mom or sister to go with me. My first goal for this would be to try and get at least 20 minutes of exercise a day, even if I don’t have P.E. Another one is to try and put all the effort I can into P.E. class, and try to enjoy it as much as I can. I also think a good goal could be to cut back on sweets and actually eat what my mom gives me. But mostly just get more into shape!
Now, you know all about my goals for freshman year here at Foothill tech! I am sure these goals will change through these 4 years in high school and I am excited to see how everything folds out.
